The Ludlow Hotel

New York, NY

Hotels
180 Ludlow St, New York 10002, NY
One of downtown New York's coolest new places to stay, the Ludlow Hotel allows you to experience the city like a true New Yorker. The brainchild of hotelier Sean MacPherson (owner of some of lower Manhattan's smartest properties: Maritime, Bowery, Jane), he bought the abandoned 20-story brick-façade, casement-windowed tower and spent two years fashioning it into one of the lower east side's premiere places to see and be seen.

Oversized windows give unparalleled views onto the neighborhood from its 175 rooms, which are sumptuously appointed with dark wood floors, silk rugs, brass chandeliers, marble tables and velvet chairs. A year-round garden courtyard offers six tables amongst lovely, ivy-covered brick walls and hanging Moroccan pendant lamps.
