With a background in music, spanning almost three decades, Trent's love of Americana and country has carried over into furniture making. His interest in antiques, in particular, rustic pieces with an Old West flavor, drew him to create the kind of furniture he wanted to have in his own home but was unable to find. Initially experimenting with gorgeous old timber from a condemned bridge, Trent first created botanical style tables and benches, and recently expanded his range to include bathroom vanities, kitchen hutches, cabinets, and dining settings. He also enjoys restoring antique pieces, preferring to keep the unique patina of aged paint in order to retain its personality.
Haling originally from Grafton, Trent has lived in Brisbane, Sydney, Tasmania, and Stanthorpe. For the past seven years, he's made his home in the Byron Shire, where he currently lives with his partner, Rebekah and their three children in a converted banana shack.
