"For as long as I can remember, I have seen things differently. I see shapes... the fullness of a figure, the rhythm of form in people and in nature. It's what I see first: a stylization of reality."
Sara Mordecai creates. Fine art. The ephemeral. Consumer experiences. She paints
in vibrant hues because to her, life is ripe, it's rich, alive. She backpacked through Europe for a year after Undergrad so she could see all the paintings she studied with her own eyes. Sara holds an MFA from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and now calls San Jose home.
In 2015 Sara was selected to serve as an Artist in Residence with the National Park System, working in Oregon at John Day Fossil Beds. The NPS selected 2 of her paintings to display in the parks Visitor's Center through the Centennial celebration of our National Parks.
Sara has always worked in-house as a Design Manager and Art Director, but she is thrilled to now be able to focus entirely on her own work as a painter and muralist. Clients include: Yahoo, Amazon, Oracle, PayPal, Safeway
