Johnston Foster works and lives in Bedford, Nova Scotia, Canada. He has exhibited widely throughout the United States and Europe in solo and group exhibitions including P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center MOMA, 21c Museum, MASS MOCA, Yerba Buena Center of the Arts and The Contemporary Art Center of Virginia. Foster was born in South Boston, Virginia in 1978; he received a BFA in Sculpture From Virginia Commonwealth University in 2001, an MFA from Hunter College, NYC in 2005, and attended the Skowhegan School for Painting and Sculpture in 2003.
