“Joe was born in Oklahoma City in 1937. He attended the Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles from 1959 to 1961. Over the last nearly 60 years, he has shown in galleries from Los Angeles to New York, London to Tokyo. His work has been featured in the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and many more. His work can be found in the collections of the Art Institute of Chicago, the National Gallery in London, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. He currently lives and works in Los Angeles.”
