" Jenevieve was born in New York City in July of 1985, where she later received her B.F.A. from the Cooper Union School of Art with an award for Excellence in Painting in 2008. At Cooper, Jenevieve left behind photorealistic portraiture and landscape drawings to further explore dark room photography and abstract expressionistic painting. Seeking to combine the two, silkscreening became her new medium; the immediacy of it allowed her to incoporate elements once isolated to her street art tactics. After studying the process for a decade, a whole new style has emerged in her work, layered with brushstrokes, decoupage, graffiti tags, patterns, and photographic imagery. Jenevieve continues to live and work in New York and explore the world through picture, color, and texture. "
