"Eclectic paintings in watercolor or acrylic embracing various styles, subjects, sizes & colour schemes"
I adore the challenge of a commission: my most recent involved 2 large stylistic canvases in bright acrylic & 3 almost monochromatic minimalistic watercolours for the same house. The owner had an eye for interior design & the results are stunning.

Q&A

How do your pieces come to life? Tell us one interesting thing about your creative process?

"Composition is all important. That has to work before anything else BUT can also be flexible and subject to change if better alternatives occur during the painting process. This is easier in acrylic than watercolour but the surfaces of some watercolour papers do allow changes to a certain extent."

Q&A

What funny moments, unexpected surprises, or obstacles have you encountered?

"I now consider unexpected drips and blots to be part of the composition, to the extent of even encouraging them! Such serendipity can also demonstrate that a painting is an original rather than a pristine original."
