Francisco Gazitúa. MRSBS
Born Santiago Chile / 1944 
Studied philosophy and Sculpture at the University of Chile, Sculpture St. Martin `s School of Arts in London.
England, Tim Scott, Philip King and Anthony Caro. 
He was a professor of sculpture, for 6 years at St Martins School of Arts London (1979 -1985).
Has been the creator of three schools of sculpture: Kornaria, Istria (Croatia), the department
Sculpture at the Universidad Finis earthy (Santiago, Chile) and the Workshop School
(Santiago, Chile).
He has authored numerous publications in history and theory of sculpture His theoretical and practical discussion focuses on the role of materiality in the sculptural language.
Has organized in Chile fifteen international sculpture symposia.
His sculptural practice as its main objective the production of large-scale works for public space, steel, wood and stone, for it has formed a large workshop in quarry located at the foot of the Andes in central Chile where it, along with his assistants, build and assemble their work and then be stationed in different cities of Chile and World: England, Holland, Sweden, Canada, Lebanon, Mexico, the Netherlands. His last monumental public sculpture in Toronto Canada “Puente de luz” (“Bridge of ligt”) 100 meters long is now a landmark for the city. 
He has shown his work in solo and group exhibitions in major Canada, England, Germany, USA, Mexico and other countries. galleries and museums in Chile.

2007 Associate Member of the Royal Academy of Belgium in the area of Fine in replacement
of the sculptor Lyn Chadwick Arts. 
2017 – Patron of Hamstead School of arts London, founded by his first Patron the sculptor
Henry Moore.
2018- Member of Chilean academy of fine arts.
2019 Member of Royal British society of sculptors
