Almudena Rodriguez is Madrid born visual artist currently living and working between Spain and the US. Graduated from Complutense University of Madrid with a degree in Fine Arts, majoring in Painting. In 2001 she was granted a Visual Arts Grant from Directorate General for Cooperation in Education and Culture of the Mexican government and she was living and working in Mexico City for several years. Since 1995 she has held solo and group exhibitions at private galleries and Public Institutions in Spain, United States, Mexico, Portugal, France, Serbia, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Bulgaria and Algiers. In 2017 she was the main artist from Spain at the Mikser Festival in Belgrade (Serbia) with a project about migration in collaboration with the Cervantes Institute and the Embassy of Spain in Serbia. He has exhibited at the International Art fairs Arco, Art Miami, and Art Chicago. Her work is currently represented by Pagoda Red Gallery, Chicago, USA. Through recycling and fragmentation she analyses looking forward for connections between objects that appear intentionally distant, in this way she appropriates of images that she recycles through messages that circulate in the area of communication within a context bound to simultaneous information channels.
