This piece is created from vintage watch parts strung on 28 gauge brass wire inside two beautiful old wooden shutters. Each panel can be easily hung from the wall on two nails. The watch parts cast beautiful shadows on the wall. Alternatively, with simple hardware the panels can be hung from the ceiling so that the piece is suspended further from the wall or serves as a room divider.

"As a collage and mixed media artist, I create detailed and meticulously constructed artwork from photographs, books, fabric and found objects. I collect things that intrigue me and often keep them for several years before deciding how to best incorporate them into my art.

I would like for viewers to be able to stand at a distance from my artwork and see a beautiful and fascinating composition, which will in turn draw them in for a closer look to reveal the surprise of the composite parts. I use the source materials to convey my cultural heritage and deep sense of history. My artwork is wholly contemporary and global, while at the same time honoring the ethnic and traditional, paying homage to those who came before."
