Each of Rebecca Whitaker's wall hangings is an invitation to be present, to discover self, and to experience the joy of being. As a self-taught fiber artist, Rebecca considers her work to be a meditative practice, one that allows her to surrender in a symbolic way, finding that the beauty and meaning in each piece intuitively unfold as she steps out of her mind and into her heart, trusting the fibers and her hands.



Often reflecting patterns she finds in nature, Rebecca’s work also mimics the earthy color tones and textures found in the natural world. She often seeks to reflect aspects of the landscapes surrounding her client’s homes. In this way, Rebecca intricately weaves meaning and memory into texture and color, inviting her audience to step with her into the now through a visual and tactile experience.



Rebecca's handwoven wall hangings, both small and large scale, have been statement pieces in private residences and public spaces around the world.

Rebecca is the fiber artist behind these highly textural, almost sculptural wall hangings. The uniqueness of her style sets her apart from the world of fiber and reflects the genuine love she has for the art form.   Her self-taught ability is continuously inspired by the world around her: the colors, the feelings, the movement, and experiences of every day life.  These moments she transforms into delicate patterns of texture and color, creating timeless, three-dimensional pieces that become the focal point of any room.
