This weaving is created from pure, hand felted, merino wool. I created it using a variety of hand knitting, weaving and knotting techniques. Knotted up was truly an experiential piece for me. I was having a particularly anxious week and I just let my hands work in the way they wanted to. The pattern is a bit convoluted, and as such is a beautiful reminder to me that just because we don't know the direction we're headed in is no reason not to enjoy the path and process. It's my hope that this piece can be that same reminder to her future owner.
