Item details

This is a busty lass of a pot.

Whether you want to put whisky, cider or air in this, there is space for about 4.8 litres (1.25 gallons). I measured. Now I have plenty of water for our house plants.

This one was fired in Joseph Sand’s wood/salt kiln in North Carolina. I like how it came out, I have to say. It is simply decorated with a clay slip that I wiped the floral motif through when it was still wet. I love the fluidity of this kind of decorating.

Wood Fired Pottery made with Wild Clays and Glaze Materials

I am investigating the use of all kind of rocks to use as glazes for my pots. Clay is of utmost importance to me, then form, and then the surface of the pot.

I've got a handle on the first 2 but working to innovate the third! I am most active on Instagram.

I am a potter from England, trained as an apprentice under Mark Hewitt in North Carolina and now an MFA Candidate at Utah State University.
