Item details

Llama planter with gold lustre fur. Llamas are handmade by me in Brisbane, Australia. Each one is fired three times The first firing after the llama has been sculpted, dried and painted, takes around 13hrs. The second firing is the glaze firing, I paint on three thin coats of glaze and then the llama is fired for around 10hrs and it comes out glossy. Lastly I paint on the llamas fur. The fur is a gold luster which contains real gold particles. Once dry, I fire one last time for 3hrs.

The llamas will vary slightly due to being handmade and will not look exactly the same as pictured but will be very similar : )

Plant not included

Measures approx. 17cm
Where plant sits 6.5cm x 6.5cm

Meet the Creator
Hello my name is Gail and here in my little shop you will find original handmade ceramic pieces made by me.

It was while undertaking a Cert III in Visual Arts (which I initially started to improve my painting and drawing) that I first came across ceramics, and have been obsessed ever since!

Animals feature heavily in my ceramics, and I love that people are able to connect with my work because of this.

When you buy one of my pieces you can be assured that it is a one of a kind piece.
