Twisted Track Gallery Mural - Sacramento, California
In June of 2022, Shane was in Sacramento, California as a featured artist at Twisted Track Gallery, which is located on R Street. The owner of the gallery is also the proprietor of a lounge down the street from the gallery. The lounge is nestled next to an old welding shop, and plays host to a motley assortment of bands, artists, and business owners. As Shane crossed through the lounge, he glanced right, and the beautifully rusted corrugated metal walls of the lounge caught his eye. In that moment, he knew what must be done. Shane turned to the owner. “I love the surface of these walls,” he said, “Would you let me present you with a design for a mural?” The owner agreed, and Shane drew up several designs. The owner was in love, and in one full day, Shane drove up from Los Angeles and painted the woman in dramatic black and white spray paint, her hair flowing and blending with the rich, rusted tones of the corrugated metal. The owner was so impressed, he insisted that Shane return to do another on the property. Shane has since been commissioned by the owner to create two more murals for his businesses.
