Atop the 'Mission Pescadero' floor, the tiled terrace on the 15th floor of the Perch in Los Angeles provides sweeping view of the city. The classic pattern, done in a blue/brown scheme, was created custom for Perch from the Mission Pallete. Avente Tile suggests customers stay away from using cement tiles outdoors however LA rarely experiences the freezing temperatures that could crack them.

Meet the Creator

Bill Buyok founded Avente Tile in 2003 after a personal renovation project led him all over southern California in search of the perfect cement tile. He eventually found what he was looking for, but the experience convinced him to give up his career as a field engineer at a Fortune 500 company and start his own tile company.

Avente offers a large selection of handcrafted decorative ceramic tiles, field tiles and encaustic cement tiles in both classic and contemporary designs.
