These 7" wide at top and 2" tall servin bowls were thrown on the wheel with porcelain. After the clay dried, I painted a band around the rim with black underglaze and then hand-carved a running spiral design. After they were fired, I glazed the inside turquoise and the outside a satin white. This design is very popular and I have matching plates and bowls in other sizes and shapes. Dishwasher and microwave safe.
