Kate is at the heart of stone + sparrow. She started throwing a stone on a kick-wheel at 9 years-old in the Santa Cruz Mountains, CA. Twenty years later, she just can't kick the habit.

After studying Fine Art with an emphasis in ceramics, Kate began a professional career working in the medical device industry. Seeking fulfillment outside of spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations, she hit the wheel hard and renewed her love for making things by hand. Working with her husband and design partner, Matt, Stone + Sparrow was forged.

Kate now runs Stone + Sparrow a full-time adventure.
