East coast pragmatism meets West coast style

Hasan Zaidi designs multi-living, commercial furniture pieces, functional and sculptural fixtures, and creates custom products for spatial applications, all while relying on his 12-year history of hands-on manufacturing experience.

Zaidi enjoys collaboration with other designers, consulting with customers, and finding clever solutions to complex and challenging problems. He has experience in project management and passionately follows his team throughout each step of the design process.

Starting at a young age, Zaidi took up woodworking and furniture restoration as a hobby. Over time, he grew a strong appreciation for machinery, tools, and workshops. Zaidi feels most comfortable in spaces where making and creating is a part of the culture, while seeking innovative ways to push his craft. He aims to expose western design to eastern influences to link his cultural heritage to the western environment around him.

Hasan Zaidi received a Masters of Science in Environmental design, with a focus on furniture and fixtures from the prestigious, ArtCenter College of Design, in Pasadena, CA. At ArtCenter, Zaidi honed his design thinking techniques to provide his clients with a holistic approach to the design process. Well-versed in programs such as Rhino, Modo, and Solidworks, Zaidi seamlessly combines them with carpentry, metal fabrication, and rapid prototyping to deliver a refined product.
