Painted in West Hollywood, California, the thirty-foot high Kobe Bryant Memorial Mural was painted as a means of honoring the cultural legacy of the iconic, five-time NBA champion. Shane decided to run with a large-scale concept for this particular street art piece, which was created using a blend of acrylic and spray paints, as well as dramatic color and lighting because of the huge cultural imprint that Kobe had left on the sports entertainment industry, and on the city of Los Angeles.

Shane has art directed, managed and led small to large teams through conceptual design, fabrication, and installation on projects all over the world. Walt Disney Imagineering has employed Shane’s skills as a master sculptor and creative visionary when they appointed him as Senior Dimensional Designer on a project for Shanghai Disney. His work can also be found throughout cities in Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Cambodia, South Korea, and Dubai.
