‘Heart of the Liberties’ is an ode to the hustle and bustle of the Liberty Market and the shops/traders of Meath street & Thomas Street. Some of which have been there for generations. As the city modernises it’s the families who run these businesses that represent the heart of one of the oldest communities in Dublin.

Meet the Creator

Meagan Hyland is an Art Director and illustrator currently working in Dublin. Outside of office hours, her personal work has led from Tumblr fame with her 'Meagan's Movie Alphabet' series onto exhibitions in New York, Los Angeles, London and San Diego Comic Con. She regularly contributes work to Gallery 1988 and Hero Complex Gallery exhibitions in Los Angeles and has created licensed prints for Ghostbusters, Bob's Burgers, Alice in Wonderland and Rick & Morty. She is co-founder of the Dublin chapter of Ladies, Wine & Design a monthly salon night devoted to championing female creatives from around Dublin and in 2017 she contributed her hand lettering skills to Abbey Sy's 'Hand Lettering A-Z' book available now in over 9 languages.
