The mural depicts a young boy practicing the trumpet with dreams of becoming the next great Jazz legend. Elbra Wedgeworth is depicted in a Kente dress as a 14 year old and represents community leadership. I placed a locket with her mother in it as a symbol of the importance of family. And a young girl aspiring to be a doctor wears a lab coat and offers out the stethoscope in order to listen to heartbeat of the community. Above is a dove symbolizing peace and carrying the scales of justice.
