"Lesley has always loved text and letterforms. After having several of her stories that she both wrote and illustrated published, she moved towards hand-drawn letters, then into sign-making and lettering art where she is able to combine her illustration, hand-lettering, and her love of challenge.
Her PLANTER font received an Award of Excellence and was featured in the 2014 Communication Arts Typography Annual. Her most recent book, The Banana Story of Agony (Conundrum Press, 2009) is a collection of four of her illustrated stories for all ages."
