Meet the Creator

Creating vividly elegant and eloquent paper sculptures that silently connect with my feelings.

Ever since I remember myself I was drawn to shapes, patterns, geometry and structure. Since math was never my strong suit, I looked for other ways to satisfy my curiosity and I spent years sketching, designing, cutting and folding different materials into three dimensional arrangements that express much more than the simple essence of the material.

As an artist I enjoy the study of pattern, shape, placement and form, through the use of precision cut geometrical shapes made from paper, wood, glass and porcelain as an exploration of nonverbal ways to express different emotions and desires.

In recent years I worked mostly with paper - a simple, clean, everyday material. I transform it into patterns that can be precise and abstract at the same time by forcing motion into collections of paper bodies in an attempt to express different feelings in a visual way. I am trying to break the mathematical beauty that exist in a perfectly balanced geometry in order to demonstrate feelings I cannot otherwise express.

Many of my works explore the use of monochromatic combinations and the effect of light, time of day and shadows on the way it perceived by the viewer.
