Created between 2018 and 2019, "Morning Coffee" is from a series inspired by the local residents surrounding my old neighborhood in central Los Angeles.
The people I saw daily were marked by desperation and the drive to get what the needed. In these portraits, I sought to capture these emotions in a minimal style.
My wire sculptures are best hung on a wall somewhere that receives direct light - this will create the best shadows.
The dark annealed steel has been treated with a rust-proof coating and is safe to place in any environment.
