Banjo music is lively, catchy and uplifting and a favorite of Steve Martin who inspired me to create this bronze from his live theatrical performance in “Bright Star” which incorporated his music into the the stage show. Playing the banjo is interpreted with geometric cubist planes to accentuate movement and vigorous strumming.

""Dina Angel-Wing has focused on creating three-dimensional art that appeals to different senses. Her sculpture aims at a visual experience that is both aesthetic and intellectually engaging, it can be representative, symbolic, or humorous while juxtaposing soft curvilinear figures with architectonic stands that contrasts rough weathered steel with smooth bronze.

Her portraits interpret a sense of the person while capturing a lively personality from life sketching or researching old photographs and interviews, with the final cast in bronze."
