Murmuration XXI: Z’s Playful Personality

Thousands of hand-sculpted porcelain pieces by New York-based artist Christina Watka dance across the walls of the conference room in Johnson & Johnson’s conference room in a renovated home in New Brunswick, NJ. The space is meant to inspire creativity, open-mindedness, and warmth.

Meet the Creator

Christina Watka is a Portland, Maine based installation artist who specializes in large-scale installation art. Watka’s installations evoke naturally dynamic patterns found in swarms, flocks, cells, constellations, and topographical maps. Her work often captures the natural light in specific spaces by using low-relief sculptural undulations that ebb and flow in a visual conversation about density, structured chaos, lightness, and air.
