Whole Flow is a sculpture made up of stainless steel, water and plants. It was created by artist Buster Simpson for Whole Foods Market that functions both as an artwork and as a working example of water preservation and sustainable uses of natural resources. The fountain runs on gray water from the condensation from a series of freezer units. The sculptural fountain of cascading water creates a pleasant acoustical ambience masking nearby traffic sounds. The stainless steel surfaces are highly polished and respond to ambient reflections of light and water.
