About: These pieces woven in this particular village are to me considered the poetry of rugs; they have such wisdom, soul, and history in them that exude an energy that is unmatched. Open and flowy artistic design with vines and branch motifs sprawling elegantly throughout. The asymmetrical design is perfect in its attempt to be uniform. You will note that some motifs are smaller than other motifs that were, in theory, supposed to be the same size, and the focal point of the rug isn't even 100% centered - this is the human element in antique rugs that make them so charming and one-of-a-kind. This is exactly what you want in rugs. This piece offers a vast color palette as well making it very decorative and interesting. Deep blues as the base, with great bursts and strips of abrash in the border, filled with greens, teals, camel, browns, mocha, golden and beige hues as well as many different hues of blues. All in all, this is really a sensational antique rug to add some depth and soul to any space.
This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one available. Because of the nature and age of these older/antique handmade pieces, irregularities and age-related wear are likely to exist and are not considered defects.
