American abstract sculptor creating large scale work for gardens, private estates, hotels, hospitality and public art spaces.

Meet Yoko Kubrick, a Japanese-American sculptor whose artistry is deeply rooted in the raw allure of nature. Based in California, she weaves the essence of natural elements into her abstract and stylized forms.

Drawing inspiration from her diverse heritage, Yoko finds resonance in the origins of Art Nouveau, with a particular admiration for Japonism that originated in Japan. Embracing this rich artistic heritage, she infuses a contemporary interpretation into these graceful shapes, breathing new life into timeless aesthetics.

Yoko's artistic journey has been marked by dedication and a thirst for knowledge. After a brief period at the Accademia di Belle Arte in Carrara, she chose to follow her passion and joined a professional studio in Pietrasanta, where she immersed herself in the world of master sculptors. Learning from the best, she honed her skills in modeling, marble carving, and learning about the history and culture of the ancient art form of marble sculpture, which has shaped her unique artistic practice.

Celebrating feminine energy and the essence of nature, Yoko's sculptures offer a harmonious balance and polarity to predominantly masculine spaces in architecture. With her vision, she crafts captivating focal points that immerse spaces in the serene beauty of the natural world.

Throughout her artistic journey, Yoko has worked in renowned studios in Pietrasanta and Carrara, surrounded by colleagues with a wealth of experience and artistic heritage. She draws inspiration from the rich history and scenic landscapes, infusing her sculptures with a reverence for the natural world.
