Item Details
The block walls at Bayswater Park were decorated and hand-painted by New York City-based public artist, Ruth Hofheimer. She takes pride in creating beautiful site-specific installations that excite witnesses. This 500-foot-long mural at the gateway, called Birds of Paradise, reflects the landscape, plants, and animals that live along the city's coastline. Specifically, images of herons, osprey, striped bass, Spanish mackerel, and marshy grasslands are incorporated into the public artwork.
