Item details

Nature is brought back into the urban environment. The sculpture is located on a city sidewalk. Sculptural art bench infused with colour. Resembles a pot of flowers.....meant to attract humans rather than bees. Seats six, 3 on either side. It provides a respite for the weary city traveller. The design celebrates the city of St. Albert as " the Botanical Arts City."

Size: 5 feet wide x 7 feet high x 3 feet deep
Materials: Concrete, steel, enamel paint.
Commissioned by the City of St Albert.

Meet the Creator

Karen Ho Fatt Lee is a Canadian designer and visual artist.
She has extensive experience in design and project management having practiced in the fields of commercial and residential interior design for many years after graduating from the Faculty of Architecture.
Karen's work in the visual arts encompasses both 2 and 3 dimensional art including drawings, paintings to public art.
Known for her diverse skill set and attention to detail, she is a creative problem solver with innovative ideas and solutions to bring your project and story to life.
Creating timeless designs in combination with the innovative use of colour and materials forms the basis of her work. The primary aim is to create designs that will ultimately transform the interior and exterior environment.
Karen lives in the beautiful foothills of the Rocky Mountains, which provides an endless and perpetual source of inspiration.
