Torque is a monumental landmark on a hilltop in Richmond, California which was created by Jacques Overhoff. It consists of twelve precast concrete elements and extends forty feet (12 meters) above the average elevation of the plaza. The sculpture was dedicated during the International Sculpture Conference in Oakland, 1982, as part of a Bay Area celebration of public sculpture.
