New York-based sculptor Gabrielle Koren created this statue of abolitionist, statesman and orator, Frederick Douglass.

The eight-foot tall bronze statue is surrounded by a fountain memorial that is emblazoned with quotations, and located at the traffic circle at the corner of 110th Street and Frederick Douglass Boulevard, the northwest corner of Central Park—known as the Gateway to Harlem.
