Balanced on one of its five points, Fallen Star brings a piece of the sky down to earth atop the toboggan hill of Half Moon Bay Park in Ottawa. Creating a bridge between the immensity of the celestial universe and our place on earth. The etched and pitted cast aluminum surface of the star tells a story of its long journey. At night light gently shines through hundreds of tiny holes referencing a starry sky.

The sculpture is made of sand casted aluminum. It is 13.5 x 12.5 x 4 feet

"I am Inspired by nature and the alchemy of materials"

I live and work in Kingston, Ontario, my practice includes painting, sculpture and video installations. Previous public art projects include Archive, Fallen Star and Stand of Birch for the City of Ottawa, and Wave for the City of Toronto. I show my work nationally and internationally and I am the recipient of a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant and a Chalmers Fellowship. My work is represented by Newzones Gallery in Calgary, Alberta, the Sears-Peyton Gallery, New York, New York, and Four for Art, Lenox Massetuchetts.
