"Jungle Red", oil enamel on steel, 16' X 16' X 45'
A monumental outdoor sculpture, "Jungle Red" is composed of large red fabricated steel beams that appear to move in and out of the ground in both a dramatic and whimsical style. It was commissioned by the City of Palm Springs and the Warm Sands Neighborhood Association. The piece was named after the iconic 1939 Joan Crawford movie, The Women, because of the bright red lipstick featured in it.
