Comprising more than seven miles of aluminum, The Light Between is suspended in the 10-story interior atrium of 125 High St. in downtown Boston. The piece energizes the space and enhances the abundant natural light pouring in from the glass roof above. 450 aluminum strands are suspended from overhead cables. Each of the 110’ long metal ribbons is hand sculpted. One of the goals of the piece was to activate and enliven the empty atrium space upon which the surrounding office spaces look.
