This large moose sculpture is one of a series of public works that address loss of wildlife habitats using locally sourced materials to create impactful works. This piece was made entirely from Hudson River driftwood. Beacon Moose owes its prominent place in Main Street to Beacon3D, a community based arts organization founded by curator and activist Eleni Smolen.
