"Stained glass" Window Installation - Wall Treatments

Featured In Rockville, Rockville, MD

Starts at $10,000

For this installation, Nicole Mueller uses colored window films and spray paint to create a modern abstract immersive collage and multicolored "stained glass" effect that transforms the space from the inside out. Transparent materials allow the building to function like a lightbox at night and for the light to move and shift with the sun's movements throughout the day, casting colored shadows on the floor and walls.

Pricing for installations varies based on scale and complexity. Project fee includes design, materials, fabrication, and installation.

Nicole Mueller is a painter, muralist, and installation artist based in San Francisco, CA who has completed public and private commissions throughout the United States. Her colorful, energetic works bring light and vibrancy to every space and are often the focal point of each room. Nicole uses painting to navigate spaces in flux and carve pathways through liminal states, in her large scale collages, murals, and installations fusing color and light. She earned her BFA in painting at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD. She has been an artist-in-residence at the Vermont Studio Center, ArtPoint (Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco), Proyecto 'ACE (Argentina), and Creative Paradox (Maryland). Her work has been exhibited in California, New York, and Maryland. She received early recognitions from the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts and Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation. After relocating to San Francisco in 2017, she became the recipient of the Mark M. Glickman and Lanette M. McClure Artist Award for emerging artists creating innovative work in California. She also co-hosts a podcast that interviews artists about their professional practices called Beyond the Studio, which received an Alternative Exposure grant in 2017 from Southern Exposure and Facebook's Artist-in-Residence program.
