Icing on the Cake - Photography

Item details

Pastel dots and other elements painted upon a photo of Lake Tahoe, CA.

My fiancé grew up with skiing as a major part of his life, and so now by default I too have skiing as a part of my life. I'm not particularly good at it, but I decided that for what I lack in skill, I can at least make up for in fashion. I scoured Craigslist before our last ski trip, and found a super cool snow onesie from the 80's colored in beautiful blocks of pastel pink, blue-green, and white. It's a nightmare when I have to get it off to pee, but damnit I look good out there! 😂. A glorious ball of Easter colors making wide, wobbly turns down the slope repeating the phrase "Don't die." over and over to myself. On the same trip to Lake Tahoe that I wore the ski suit, I took lots of photos, the black and white base photo to this piece included. I love the colors from my ski suit so much that those became the inspiration for the colored circles painted upon this print. And that is the whole story. :)

Unframed Fine Art Prints are printed on thick (290gsm - 340gsm), ultra-premium fine art papers that range from smooth to more textured depending upon the print. Our giclée prints are printed on top-of-the-line Epson printers using the latest Ultrachrome archival pigment inks to ensure a richness of color and razor-sharp details. Each paper print has about a 1/2 inch white border that is factored into the size listed. Please contact me at if you'd like a print without a white border, or with a thicker white border, both are available! These prints are museum-grade and made to last.

Your stretched canvas piece will float within a classic natural wood gallery frame that's approximately 0.375" wide and 1.25" deep. We print our canvas giclées with archival Epson UltraChrome HDX pigment inks on PremierArt Generations Satin Canvas. We also coat each canvas with PremierArt Eco Print Shield, an environment-friendly, solvent-free varnish. It provides scratch and water resistance, and UV protection, for your print. With care, these canvas giclée prints will last for generations.

We’ll also add D-rings, stainless steel Surflon picture hanging wire, and felt bumpers to the back of your stretched canvas so it’s ready to hang when it arrives. Your piece will be packaged with the utmost care and will be ready to ship out in about 2-4 business days from your order. Shipping for these takes about 4-5 days on average. 🤍

Fine art prints of my paintings, photography, and combinations of the two inspired by the land, sea, and sky of the West Coast.

I majored in Studio Art (with a Printmaking concentration) at the University of Virginia back in the days when Ja Rule still had hits on the radio and keto eating was still called the Atkins diet. That was a while ago, and here I am still fixated on making prints! While also still doing a mediocre job at avoiding carbohydrates.

With a background in photography and graphic design (I went on to get a degree in Graphic Design from Parsons the New School for Design), and many years spent in NYC and LA, I'm very grateful to now live and operate in the small town of Santa Barbara, CA.

I moved to Santa Barbara after a chance meeting with an intuitive psychic who instructed me to set up shop in this town and start making art! I'd been contemplating a move back east at the time, and am exceptionally glad I followed her advice and put my roots down in this exceedingly beautiful beach town instead.

I absolutely love making this work and have known for as long as I can remember that making people's homes/work places feel beautiful and healing through visual art and decoration is a big part of what I came to Earth to do.

I think that if we work together, we can dream up a more beautiful world with infinitely more peace, harmony, magic, mysteries, and miracles.
