Wall Photo Installation

Photography by Gwendolyn Meyer seen at Saltwater, Inverness - Wall Photo Installation
South African native Gwendolyn Meyer's photo installation at Saltwater mixes her own photography with shots that her father took in the 1960s. The work speaks of memory and loss and aims to relink past with present, parent with child.

Meet the Creator

"Gwendolyn Meyer explores fragmented memories of the past with poetic combinations of photographs. She has edited and reprinted her father’s photographs from the 1960’s, juxtaposing them with her own photographs of her current life. The link between past and present, parent and child, is suggested in small rather unremarkable domestic moments that speak of memory and loss. Originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, Gwendolyn recently graduated with a BFA from the California College of the Arts.
