Bronzetto with Volumio and Glauk are the Florentine excellences, respectively in design craftsmanship and sound technology, creators of this new generation of lamps that are both sources of light and sound. The vintage-industrial design of Brass Brothers & Co., a Bronzetto brand born in 2014 from an inspiration of Simone Calcinai, is enriched with innovative sound technologies. The very conformation of the Soundlight, an almost one meter hemisphere in diameter entirely covered in gold leaf, amplifies light and music in itself but this natural predisposition is now accentuated by the use of the EXCITERS, instead of the classic speakers and by the Volumio reproduction technology.
Volumio is known worldwide for its quality, simple and Open Source audio technology, designed and optimized exclusively for music playback from simple devices such as PCs, tablets and phones. With the exciters created by Glauk, the material itself is transformed into an amplifier because is the entire surface of the lamp that emits the audio frequencies creating a three-dimensional and omnidirectional sound performance. "To optimize the sound reproduction of the Exciter inside the lamp, the system we propose equalizes the sound precisely on the basis of the response of the lamp material in relation to the frequencies we have to emit; a part of the sound intelligence is controlled by Volumio which takes care of taking all the musical contents of the user and reproducing them, which is accompanied by a class D amplification system, that is a digital amplifier that guarantees lower consumption with the same sound performance and a DSP that modifies the frequencies in order to make them optimal for reproduction via the Exciter on the material of the lamp ”explains Guarise.
