The award winning Dura House was designed by architect David R. Cool end is located in Terrance Bay, Nova Scotia. Luxi Studioworks created 5 custom profiles of their Lubach design, artfully placed to anchor key living areas while respecting key sightlines to the stunning exterior view. Lubach is a term originating from Scottish Gaelic, which translates to notions of meandering, twisting, and winding. The design began as a material exploration; laboriously drawing kinked and bent wire through the rolling mill until it resulted in lengths of flattened wire, it's previous "imperfections" cemented into new graphic organic lines. Original prototypes were constructed out of numerous spot welded lengths of these wires, then the designs were further distilled into clean laser cut patterns. Each fluid line of Lubach draws the eye to dance from start-to-end around the forms contours, telling the story of the original wire.
