Item Details
This wonderful multi-color transparency by local artist Zak Prekop is part of the excellent permanent collection at The Langham Chicago.
Prekop's work, sometimes called "non-paintings," is often barely discernible. His images are like hints or traces—they look visually confused and deceptively thin. On closer inspection, nearly imperceptible layers of monochromatic paint delineate grid structures and subtle color fluctuations that sometimes generate the illusion of light.
