Stella Maria Baer is a painter and photographer originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico.

In her work she explores the mythology of the desert and the cosmology of space.

For the past four years she has been working on a series of paintings of moons and planets and photographing the deserts of the southwest.

Stella’s paintings and photographs have been featured by The New York Times, The Boston Globe, Time Magazine, Scientific American, and Design Sponge. Her pieces are in public and private collections all over the world.

Stella lives in Denver, Colorado.
