“I divide my time between an urban studio and a rural studio. My wall sculptures are about the subtleties of what I have learned from observing plants, landforms and cloud formations. I like to think of them as not about nature but that they are nature.”
Robinson creates organic wall sculptures of handmade paper. She unites units of triangles, circles or rectangles to form a larger whole. They are caste, sewn or rolled. Hundreds or thousands of these parts create textured surfaces and forms that bring nature inside and onto the wall.
