I'm in my head too much, thinking deep thoughts, pondering all the crazy. Most comfortable in my mind without constraints of any kind. This painting reflects sharp corners and mark making. Turquoise hues, with deep dark layers of greens and blues. There are pops of golden yellow to make it sing and erratic red dripping line. This work was created on hand made birchwood panel using a unique combination of oil and cold wax medium, mixed and then applied with squeegees and brayers. Layer upon layer went into this with erratic and spontaneous marks depicting my mood at the moment. It virtually glows under great lighting and looks good in artificial and natural light because of the layers of translucent colors applied with the special tools.
