Archipelago - Paintings
This commissioned piece features the striking Sørvágsvatn Lake of the Faroe Islands. Similarly to many settled islands - especially those with sheer shoreline cliffs, the Faroe Islands face the inevitability of erosion. This piece contemplates the forces that contribute to erosion, including human development on fragile lands. It also represents the existence of lush and precious life, despite the compromising conditions
