Paintings by Manuel de Arellano seen at Art of The Americas Building, Los Angeles - Virgin of Guadalupe (La Virgen de Guadalupe)

Virgin of Guadalupe (La Virgen de Guadalupe)

The Art of The Americas Building features one of Manuel de Arellano's oil on canvas paintings, called the Virgin of Guadalupe (La Virgen de Guadalupe). The Virgin of Guadalupe is the patron saint of Mexico. She is depicted with brown skin, an angel and moon at her feet and rays of sunlight that encircle her.
Manuel added pictures of the Virgin of Guadalupe on four sides of the mural, and flowers that serves as its frame.
