Paintings by Holly Fowler seen at 11 Howard, New York - Minerva
Holly Fowler painted this silk mural of the Roman goddess Minerva by hand. Much like her simply-constructed gowns, Fowler’s Minerva is influenced by the Pre-Raphaelites.

Meet the Creator

"British artist Holly Fowler studied painting, printmaking and textile design at Central Saint Martin’s before honing her craft at ateliers Chloe, Louis Vuitton, and John Galliano. With support from fashion influencer Lauren Santo Domingo, Fowler’s hand-painted dresses have been worn by high-profile clients to the Met Gala and other events. Despite her knack for beautiful dressmaking, Fowler considers herself a painter first and foremost. In Fowler’s own words, “It’s like bringing a canvas to life in which every angle of the dress is a canvas.”Fowler currently works out of her studio in Greenpoint."
